Vendor Opportunities
The Ithaca Shakespeare Company's outdoor productions make an ideal venue for local vendors to reach out to thousands of audience members each summer. We will work with vendors to build a relationship that will help both partners to achieve their goals.
Our program of outdoor Shakespeare began in 2003 and has been growing steadily each year. As an example of what we can offer your business, please consider the following:
- Our total annual attendance is approximately 5,000 people, including as many as 500-600 spectators at individual outdoor performances.
- Audience members in 2016 came from 38 states and 34 foreign countries, from every major city in New York State, and from throughout the Central New York region.
- Our productions have proven to have a very broad appeal, with audience members ranging from families with young children, to university professors, students, and alumni, to business and community leaders, to retired seniors. We take special pride in making Shakespeare's works exciting and accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds, and our audience demographics reflect that commitment.
- Our program has received enthusiastic support from the Tompkins County Strategic Tourism Planning Board, the Cornell Council for the Arts, Cornell Plantations, the Cornell and Ithaca College Theatre Departments, and the Tompkins County Community Arts Partnership.
We are hard at work building a world-class Ithaca Shakespeare Festival, and we would like to invite your business to be a part of this process by helping us create the most enjoyable event possible for our audiences.
